poem 167/365:2014

silence is the canvas of poetry

i visit her        often

with light treading

lay my head upon her bosom

before whispering

my soft words upon her skin

I listen to her heart

my words be sewn as seed

in her womb—tattoos upon her skin

silence and I become a single verse

—a universe
