A man who plays with matches
tend to burn things—a pyromaniac
they say in a word that’s what he is:
a fire starter.

I wondered if I played with words
could I be like the painter
who bends spectrums to will;
a teacher who plants seeds
in the form of inception in fertile
minds; or maybe an activist,
one who sets fire to revolutions.

If I played with metaphors in conjuration,
play with words and lingual syntax,
could I ignite thoughts,
inspire revolutions,
invoke new life in minds void and chaotic
might I be a lingualmaniac—a poet.
